Since June 2010, the national minimum wage in Hungary remained fixed at €266.8 per month, that is 3,202 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Hungarian forints, which is the official currency in Hungary, we can see that, this year, it was 73,500 Hungarian forints and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2010 which was 10%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Hungary is in 32 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 96 of the list.
