If we look at the minimum salary in Quetzal, which is the official currency in Guatemala, we can see that, this year, it was 2,742.4 Quetzal and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 99.2 Quetzal per month from the previous year, 3.75%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2017 which was 5.7%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
