Since September 2011, the national minimum wage in Argentina remained fixed at €379.5 per month, that is 4,554 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Argentinian pesos, which is the official currency in Argentina, we can see that, this year, it was 2,300 Argentinian pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 460 Argentinian pesos per month from the previous year, 25%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2011 which was 10.9%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
