Since August 2010, the national minimum wage in Argentina remained fixed at €339.4 per month, that is 4,073 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Argentinian pesos, which is the official currency in Argentina, we can see that, this year, it was 1,740 Argentinian pesos and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 240 Argentinian pesos per month from the previous year, 16%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2010 which was 7.7%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
