In 2013 Venezuela public debt was 127,544 million euros 169,391 million dollars, has decreased 22,233 23,043 million since 2012.
This amount means that the debt in 2013 reached 72.27% of Venezuela GDP, a 14.18 percentage point rise from 2012, when it was 58.09% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Venezuela debt. It has risen since 2003 in global debt terms, when it was 41,299 million euros 46,717 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 55.82%.
According to the last data point published, Venezuela per capita debt in 2013 was 4,207 euros5,587 dollars per inhabitant. In 2012 it was 5,010 euros 6,437 dollars, afterwards dropping by 803 euros 850dollars, and if we again check 2003 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,612 euros1,823 dollars .
The position of Venezuela, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2013 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 140 in the list of debt to GDP and 118 in debt per capita, out of the 184 we publish.
