In 2018 Mexico public debt was 554,636 million euros 655,025 million dollars, has increased 85029,414 million since 2017.
This amount means that the debt in 2018 reached 53.62% of Mexico GDP, a 0.43 percentage point fall from 2017, when it was 54.05% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Mexico debt. It has risen since 2008 in global debt terms, when it was 320,718 million euros 471,712 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 42.49%.
According to the last data point published, Mexico per capita debt in 2018 was 4,446 euros5,251 dollars per inhabitant. In 2017 it was 4,483 euros 5,065 dollars, afterwards dropping by 37 euros 186dollars, and if we again check 2008 we can see that then the debt per person was 2,882 euros4,238 dollars .
The position of Mexico, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2018 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 105 in the list of debt to GDP and 122 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
