In 2010 Lithuania public debt was 10,151 million euros13,468 million dollars, has increased 2,6222,978 million since 2009.
This amount means that the debt in 2010 reached 36.2% of Lithuania GDP, a 8.2 percentage point rise from 2009, when it was 28% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Lithuania debt. It has risen since 2000 in global debt terms, when it was 2,912 million euros 2,711 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 23.5%.
According to the last data point published, Lithuania per capita debt in 2010 was 3,325 euros4,412 dollars per inhabitant. In 2009 it was 2,396 euros 3,339 dollars, afterwards rising by 929 euros1,073 dollars, and if we again check 2000 we can see that then the debt per person was 835 euros777 dollars .
The position of Lithuania, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2010 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 87 in the list of debt to GDP and 133 in debt per capita, out of the 190 we publish.
