The national debt increased in Lithuania

In 2005 Lithuania public debt was 3,702 million euros4,608 million dollars, has increased 297380 million since 2004.

This amount means that the debt in 2005 reached 17.6% of Lithuania GDP, a 1.1 percentage point fall from 2004, when it was 18.7% of GDP.

According to the last data point published, Lithuania per capita debt in 2005 was 1,125 euros1,401 dollars per inhabitant. In 2004 it was 1,015 euros 1,260 dollars, afterwards rising by 110 euros141 dollars, and if we again check 1995 we can see that then the debt per person was 163 euros212 dollars .

The position of Lithuania, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2005 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 25 in the list of debt to GDP and 106 in debt per capita, out of the 188 we publish.
