In 2016 Fiji public debt was 1,960 million euros 2,169 million dollars, has increased 151162 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 46.48% of Fiji GDP, a 0.27 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 46.21% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Fiji debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 1,317 million euros 1,653 million dollars although it has fallen as a percentage of GDP, when it amounted to 53.76%.
According to the last data point published, Fiji per capita debt in 2016 was 2,245 euros2,485 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 2,082 euros 2,310 dollars, afterwards rising by 163 euros175 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 1,583 euros1,987 dollars .
The position of Fiji, as compared with the rest of the world, has improved in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 85 in the list of debt to GDP and 94 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
