In 2016 Bhutan public debt was 2,114 million euros 2,340 million dollars, has increased 365400 million since 2015.
This amount means that the debt in 2016 reached 109.99% of Bhutan GDP, a 14.31 percentage point rise from 2015, when it was 95.68% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Bhutan debt. It has risen since 2006 in global debt terms, when it was 516 million euros 648 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 75.52%.
According to the last data point published, Bhutan per capita debt in 2016 was 2,650 euros2,933 dollars per inhabitant. In 2015 it was 2,245 euros 2,490 dollars, afterwards rising by 405 euros443 dollars, and if we again check 2006 we can see that then the debt per person was 775 euros973 dollars .
The position of Bhutan, as compared with the rest of the world, has worsened in 2016 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 174 in the list of debt to GDP and 106 in debt per capita, out of the 186 we publish.
