Cyprus is at the 70º position of the Global Right to Information Rating

The transparency law of Cyprus has been in force since 2017 and with it has earned 84 points in the Global Right to Information Rating (RTI Rating). With that score Cyprus is now ranked 70 in the transparency ranking formed by 136 countries, meaning it is among those that must improve its laws in order to guarantee access to information.

This index ranks countries giving them a score of 0-150 depending on the strength of its legal framework which guarantees the right to information.
