Iceland: GDP increases 8.9%

Gross Domestic Product of Iceland grew 8.9% in 2022 compared to last year. This rate is 38 -tenths of one percent higher than the figure of 5.1% published in 2021.

The GDP figure in 2022 was €27,297$28,065 million, Iceland is number 109 in the ranking of GDP of the 196 countries that we publish. The absolute value of GDP in Iceland rose €5,478$2,469 million with respect to 2021.

The GDP per capita of Iceland in 2022 was €71,460$74,591, €12,890$5,186 higher than in 2021, it was €58,570$69,405. To view the evolution of the GDP per capita, it is interesting to look back a few years and compare these data with those of 2012 when the GDP per capita in Iceland was €35,800$46,160.
