ELECTRICITY PRICES - the Czech Republic June of 2010

The price of electricity is reduced in the Czech Republic

The average price of electricity in the Czech Republic, in June of 2010, has been 0.1496€ per kilowatt hour. Electricity price has decreased € 0.0037 kWh, 2.41% since the last semester. Meanwhile, the average price of electricity without taxes in the Czech Republic in that period was € 0.1236 per kilowatt hour, €3.21% less than in the previous period, in which the price of electricity without taxes was €0.1277kWh.

In the last twelve months the price of electricity in the Czech Republic has increased by 1.98%.

From 2007 until now, the highest price of electricity in the Czech Republic has been € 0.1533 kWh, in December of 2009, while in June of 2007, electricity price was € 0.1144 kWh, its minimum price in this period.

Finally, if we compare the price of electricity with taxes and without taxes, we see that, in the last period, households paid € 0.026 of taxes for each kilowatt hour, which means that 17.4% of what households pay for the electricity are taxes.
