In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Eritrea, have not changed in 2020, in which they have been 0.13 tons per inhabitant.
Eritrea is one of the countries with the lowest CO2 emissions per inhabitant.
Finally, it is interesting to observe the behavior f CO2 emissions per 1000 dollars of GDP, which measures, for the same country, the "environmental efficiency" with which it is produced over time. In the last period, Eritrea, has emitted 0.05 kilos for every $ 1,000 of GDP, the same as in 2019. Eritrea is one of the countries that pollutes the least for every $ 1,000 of gross domestic product.
