In Benin, CO2 emissions during 2012 have fallen 0.236 megatons, 4.76% compared to 2011.
CO2 emissions in 2012 were 4.723 megatons, making Benin is the 61th conutry in the ranking of countries for CO2 emissions, made up of 184 countries, in which the countries are ranked from least to most pollutant.
In addition to its total emissions of CO2 into the atmospher, which logically depend, among other variables, on the country's population, it is convenient to analyze the behavior of its emissions per inhabitant. In the table we see that per capita CO2 emissions in Benin, have decreased in 2012, in which they have been 0.49 tons per inhabitant.
