Christianity grow in Tanzania while believers dropped

Christianity, with 39.79% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.8%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Tanzania population, has dropped to 99.8%. As to Christianity it has increased, the previous survey recorded 35.29% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 39.79% follow it.

The Tanzania’s second-largest religion is Islam, accounts for about 32.57% of the population.
