The latest survey data indicate believers share of Tanzania population, has dropped to 99.11%. As to Christianity it has also decreased, the previous survey recorded 49.75% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 47.77% follow it.
The second-largest religion in Tanzania is Islam, accounts for about 36% of the population.
