Tanzania - Religions

Christianity is the Tanzania's top religion, around 35.29% of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.85%, consider themselves religious.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Tanzania population, has dropped to 99.85%. As to Christianity it has increased, the previous survey recorded 31.51% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 35.29% follow it.

Animist Religions is the second most practiced religion in Tanzania, accounts for about 31.61% of the population.
