Growth of believers and Islam in Nigeria

Islam, with 49.91% of the population, is the religion of the majority of the population. A very hight percentage of population, 99.8%, confess to having religious feelings.

The latest survey data indicate believers share of Nigeria population, has increase to 99.8%. As to Islam it has also increased, the previous survey recorded 45.36% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 49.91% follow it.

The Nigeria’s second-largest religion is Christianity, accounts for about 44.82% of the population.
