The latest survey data indicate believers share of India population, has dropped to 99.06%. As to Hindu it has increased, the previous survey recorded 75.41% of the population professed it and according to the latest data 75.81% follow it.
Islam is the second most practiced religion in India, accounts for about 11.45% of the population.
