Suicides fell in Tajikistan

By 2003, suicides in Tajikistan increased by 20 people to at 248 suicides

In Tajikistan there were 3.76 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.69 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 248 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 192 were men suicides and 56 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 5.82 per 100,000 men and for women 1.66 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Tajikistan suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 164 homicides in Tajikistan, there are more suicides than homicides. For every homicide there were 1.5 suicides.
