Slovenia has a very high suicide rate

In 1986 occurred 596 suicides in Slovenia. This year, 51 fewer people committed suicide than in 1985. In Slovenia, on average, at least one suicide happens every day.

Slovenia had 30.3 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, well above the world average of 15.39 suicides per 100,000 people.

Slovenia has a very high suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 596 recorded suicide cases in 1986, 460 were men suicides and 136 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 48.2 per 100,000 men and for women 13.4 per 100,000 female. In spite of this, it is one of the countries with the highest female suicide rate in the world.
