Suicides fell in Serbia

By 2022, suicides in Serbia increased by 113 people to at 770 suicides On average, there are 2 suicides per day.

In Serbia there were 11.47 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, above the world average of 9.13 suicides per 100,000 people.

Of the 770 recorded suicide cases in 2022, 591 were men suicides and 179 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 18.11 per 100,000 men and for women 5.19 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Serbia suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 74 homicides in Serbia, the number of suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 10.4 suicides.
