Suicides increase in New Zealander

In 1975 occurred 293 suicides in New Zealander. This year, 20 more people committed suicide than in 1974.

New Zealander had 9.4 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 12.15 self-harm per 100.000 people.

New Zealander has a low suicide rate compared to other countries.

Of the 293 recorded suicide cases in 1975, 195 were men suicides and 98 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 12.5 per 100,000 men and for women 6.3 per 100,000 female.
