In 1983 occurred 1,041 suicides in Mexico. This year, 142 fewer people committed suicide than in 1982. On average, there are 3 suicides per day.

Of the 1,041 recorded suicide cases in 1983, 831 were men suicides and 210 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 2.3 per 100,000 men and for women 0.6 per 100,000 female.
