Suicides grow in Kuwait

By 2014, suicides in Kuwait increased by 8 people to at 147 suicides

In Kuwait there were 3.64 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 9.71 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 147 recorded suicide cases in 2014, 113 were men suicides and 34 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 5.2 per 100,000 men and for women 2.13 per 100,000 female.

Statistics show that in 2014, suicides were the main cause of unnatural death in the world. In Kuwait suicide also is one of the leading causes of unnatural death. By comparison, there were 61 homicides in Kuwait, suicides far outnumber homicides. For every homicide there were 2.4 suicides.
