Kenya - Intentional self-harm

By 2003, suicides in Kenya increased by 91 people to at 2,265 suicides In 2003, on average 6 Kenyans committed suicide every day.

In Kenya there were 7.08 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, much less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.69 self-harm per 100.000 people.

Of the 2,265 recorded suicide cases in 2003, 1,813 were men suicides and 452 were women. Men have a high rate of death by suicide compared with women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.82 per 100,000 men and for women 2.66 per 100,000 female.
