Iran reported 9.28 suicides per 100,000 inhabitants, less than the average suicide in the world, of 10.78 self-harm per 100.000 people.
Of the 6,093 recorded suicide cases in 2002, 3,507 were men suicides and 2,586 were women. So that, the suicide rate among males were 10.28 per 100,000 men and for women 7.78 per 100,000 female.
