Life expectancy increases in India

In 2022 the life expectancy in India increased to 67.74 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 69.38 years and for men 66.26 years.

India’s position worsened with respect to the 194 countries we publish said data, dropping from the 137th in 2021 to 138th in 2022.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2021, when it was 67.24 years, which is the opposite of what happens compared to 2012, when it was 67.89 years.
