Life expectancy falls in India

In 2020 the life expectancy in India decreased to 70.15 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 71.82 years and for men 68.62 years.

India’s position worsened with respect to the 194 countries we publish said data, dropping from the 124th in 2019 to 125th in 2020.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is lower than in 2019, when it was 70.91 years, which is the opposite of what happens compared to 2010, when it was 66.91 years.
