Life expectancy improves in India

In 2015 the life expectancy in India increased to 69.64 years.

That year, the life expectancy for women was 71.08 years and for men 68.29 years.

India’s position improvened with respect to the 193 countries we publish life expectancy, dropping from the 125th in 2014 to 121th in 2015.

If we look at the change in life expectancy in India over the past several years, we find that it is higher than in 2014, when it was 69.07 years, which is the same of what happens compared to 2005, when it was 65 years.
