GINI INDEX

The Gini index is also known as Gini coefficient. It is used to measure the inequality between the inhabitants of a region, by comparing their incomes.The maximal inequality in the Gini index is represented by the number one (or the number100 depending on the scale we use). On the contrary, a Gini coefficient of zero expresses the perfect equality.
