South Africans CPI increased up to 6.5% year-on-year in September of 2007

The annual variation rate of the CPI in South Africa in September of 2007 was 6.5%, 3 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.6%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2007 is 5.5%

We must highlight the increase of 2.8% in the prices of Furniture, household equipment and maintenance, until its interannual rate reached 4%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of -0.6%, and an interannual variation of -8.4%.
