South Africans CPI increased up to 6.2% year-on-year in July of 2007

The annual variation rate of the CPI in South Africa in July of 2007 was 6.2%, 2 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.9%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2007 is 4.3%

We must highlight the increase of 3% in the prices of Housing, water, electricity, gas and other fuels, until its interannual rate reached 11.4%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of -0.9%, and an interannual variation of -7.9%.
