The annual variation rate of the CPI in Mexico in August of 1979 was 17.9%, 6 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 1.5%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 1979 is 13.1%

We must highlight the increase of 2.3% in the prices of Clothing and footwear, until its interannual rate reached 27.6%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Health of 0.1%, and an interannual variation of 13%.
