Lebanese CPI goes down to 229.9%

The annual variation rate of the CPI in Lebanon in August of 2023 was 229.9%, 216 tenths less than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.9%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2023 is 139.7%

We must highlight the increase of 4.8% in the prices of Transport, until its interannual rate reached 230.8%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Furniture, household equipment and maintenance of -8%, and an interannual variation of 212.6%.
