El Salvador: CPI goes up in April of 2008

The annual variation rate of the CPI in El Salvador in April of 2008 was 6.8%, 8 tenths higher than the month before.The monthly variation rate of the CPI (Consumer Price Index) has been 0.8%, and thus the accumulated inflation in 2008 is 3.5%

We must highlight the increase of 1.5% in the prices of Food and non-alcoholic beverages, until its interannual rate reached 11.6%, which is in contrast to the decrease in the prices of Clothing and footwear of 0%, and an interannual variation of 1%.
