In December, vehicle registrations in Australia grew by 2.48% with respect to December of 1995. In total, 54,215 cars were registered and 650,049 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 1.17% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of December is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 13,198, 8.48% more than in December of 1995.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 41,017, which represents a figure of 0.68% more than in December of 1995.
