In August, vehicle registrations in Australia fell by 4.18% with respect to August of 1995. In total, 54,778 cars were registered and 643,629 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 0.67% less than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of August is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 12,858, 0.51% more than in August of 1995.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 41,920, which represents a figure of 5.53% less than in August of 1995.
