In January, vehicle registrations in Australia fell by 2.16% with respect to January of 1995. In total, 42,340 cars were registered and 641,621 new cars were sold in the last twelve months, 2.83% more than the year before.
The breakdown of car sales figures for the month of January is:
- Commercial vehicles sold: 9,717, 4.1% more than in January of 1995.
- Passenger cars regitrations: 32,623, which represents a figure of 3.89% less than in January of 1995.
