The national minimum wage in Tanzania remained fixed

In 2014, the national minimum wage in Tanzania remained fixed at €53 per month, that is 636 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Tanzanian shilling, which is the official currency in Tanzania, we can see that, this year, it was 115,000 Tanzanian shilling and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2013 which was 5.6%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
