The national minimum wage in Nigeria remained fixed

In 2008, the national minimum wage in Nigeria remained fixed at €32.1 per month, that is 385 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Nairas, which is the official currency in Nigeria, we can see that, this year, it was 5,500 Nairas and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2007 which was 6.6%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
