The minimum wage goes up in Kyrgyzstan

In 2015, the national minimum wage in Kyrgyzstan remained fixed at €13.5 per month, that is 162 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Som, which is the official currency in Kyrgyzstan, we can see that, this year, it was 970 Som and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 70 Som per month from the previous year, 7.78%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2014 which was 10.5%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Kyrgyzstan is in 106 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 112 of the list.
