In 2015, the national minimum wage in Kazakhstan remained fixed at €96.3 per month, that is 1,156 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.
If we look at the minimum salary in Tenges, which is the official currency in Kazakhstan, we can see that, this year, it was 21,364 Tenges and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 1,398 Tenges per month from the previous year, 7%. This increase is less than the CPI of 2014 which was 7.4%,and so workers, despite the raise, have lost buying power in the last year.
If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Kazakhstan is in 85 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 112 of the list.
