The national minimum wage increase in Jordan

In 2017, the national minimum wage in Jordan remained fixed at €0.3 per month, that is 4 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Jordanian dinar, which is the official currency in Jordan, we can see that, this year, it was 220 Jordanian dinar and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 30 Jordanian dinar per month from the previous year, 15.79%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2016 which was 0.8%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
