The minimum wage goes up in Japan

In 2014, the national minimum wage in Japan remained fixed at €919.9 per month, that is 11,039 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Japanese yen, which is the official currency in Japan, we can see that, this year, it was 133,120 Japanese yen and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 2,643.3 Japanese yen per month from the previous year, 2.03%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2013 which was 1.6%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.
