The national minimum wage in Egypt remained fixed

In 2009, the national minimum wage in Egypt remained fixed at €4.6 per month, that is 55 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Egyptian pounds, which is the official currency in Egypt, we can see that, this year, it was 35 Egyptian pounds and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.
