Egypt repeats minimum wage

In 2013, the national minimum wage in Egypt remained fixed at 83.6 € per month, that is 1,003 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Egyptian pounds, which is the official currency in Egypt, we can see that, this year, it was 700 Egyptian pounds and accordingly, the national minimum wage has remained stable, while the CPI of 2012 which was 4.7%, so workers have lost purchasing power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Egypt is in 86 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 95 of the list.
