The minimum wage goes up in Belarus

In 2014, the national minimum wage in Belarus remained fixed at €140.8 per month, that is 1,690 euros per year, taking into account 12 payments per year.

If we look at the minimum salary in Belarusian rubles, which is the official currency in Belarus, we can see that, this year, it was 1,841,483 Belarusian rubles and accordingly, the national minimum wage has been raised 309,253 Belarusian rubles per month from the previous year, 20.18%. This increase is greater than the CPI of 2013 which was 16.5%, so workers have gained buying power in the last year.

If we look at the ranking of the national minimum wage that we publish, Belarus is in 72 nd place, so it is among the countries with the lowest minimum salary of the 108 of the list.
