In 2017 Slovakia public debt was 43,227 million euros 48,833 million dollars, has increased 1,1742,284 million since 2016.
This amount means that the debt in 2017 reached 50.9% of Slovakia GDP, a 0.9 percentage point fall from 2016, when it was 51.8% of GDP.
If we check the tables we can see the evolution of Slovakia debt. It has risen since 2007 in global debt terms, when it was 17,026 million euros 23,334 million dollars and also in terms of GDP percentage, when it amounted to 30.1%.
According to the last data point published, Slovakia per capita debt in 2017 was 7,953 euros8,984 dollars per inhabitant. In 2016 it was 7,737 euros 8,564 dollars, afterwards rising by 216 euros420 dollars, and if we again check 2007 we can see that then the debt per person was 3,167 euros4,340 dollars .
The position of Slovakia, as compared with the rest of the world, has remained in 2017 in terms of GDP percentage. Currently it is country number 97 in the list of debt to GDP and 144 in debt per capita, out of the 185 we publish.
